Gary Barlow describes stillbirth as “painful”

Last night marked the 21st anniversary of charity Child Bereavement UK.

Prince William, a Patron of the charity, gave an emotional speech last night at a gala dinner held at the Banqueting Hall, London.

Also in attendance was singer Gary Barlow, a supporter of the charity.  He and his wife Dawn were left devastated when their daughter, Poppy, was stillborn in 2012.

He said, ‘Dawn and I have always felt our own personal bereavement was too painful and private to talk or comment on publicly.  Instead I will sing joyous music in support of Child Bereavement UK to say thank you for all the help it has given us and many other families.’
