Here you’ll find 7 early signs of pregnancy that you may experience, though keep in mind that every pregnancy is different and some women may get none at all! If you experience one or more of these, it’s a good idea to do a pregnancy test.

Missed / No Period

This symptom is probably the one that is most commonly associated with pregnancy, though there may be other reasons why Mother Nature doesn’t arrive. Regardless, it’s always a good idea to do a pregnancy test if your period is late.

Nausea and/or sickness

Commonly called Morning Sickness, despite it hitting many women at any time of day, this unpleasant pregnancy symptom is a well-known one. Caused by pregnancy hormones flooding your body, it usually hangs around for much of the first trimester, with many women finding that they slowly start to feel better by 12-16 weeks.

Breast Changes

From very early on in your pregnancy, you may notice changes in your breasts. Common changes are a feeling of heaviness, soreness and tenderness, tingly sensations and also bumpier nipples.

Fatigue

Zzzzzzz. When you first become pregnant your body’s workload increases hugely which is absolutely exhausting. Early pregnancy tiredness is often described by women as a level of tiredness they have never felt before! If you need to rest or sleep, listen to your body, and get some sleep whenever you can.

Frequent Urination

You may notice yourself dashing off to the toilet more regularly, sometimes only to find that you’re weeing small amounts. You may find you will wake in the night to go to the toilet too. Ironically, this pregnancy symptom often reoccurs in the last trimester, when baby gives your bladder a little nudge.

Sense of Smell

If smells are making you feel nauseous, this may be a pregnancy symptom. Pregnancy can heighten your sense of smell and whiffs which never bothered you before may become intolerable. Cooking smells are common offenders!

Sense of Taste

You may notice a metallic taste in your mouth, which can alter the taste of foods. Some women also notice they have more saliva than usual and go off foods they once enjoyed.
