Chloe Lewis has spoken out on her heartbreaking miscarriage, revealing that she lost one of her babies at eight weeks pregnant.

Chloe, 28, who is expecting with boyfriend Danny Flasher, opened up to OK! Magazine about her experience and heartache.

The TOWIE star, who rose to fame in 2015, discovered she was carrying twins after going to the doctor earlier this year, when she experienced bleeding in the first trimester.  Chloe was shocked to be told that she had been pregnant with twins, but that only one baby could still be seen. Chloe said, "The doctor did confirm the twins had been identical. That was so sad for me to hear. I kept thinking this one is going to come out and they would have looked exactly the same. This is common, though; it’s called vanishing twin syndrome."

Admitted that she found her mixed emotions hard to cope with, Chloe told OK: 'I grieved for about three months. I felt like I had gone into a hole, like I had lost a child. I felt like I had done something wrong because it was my body.

'Was I going to the gym too much? You start questioning yourself,' she explained. It wasn't until Danny said, "Chloe, you've got to snap out of this, you've got one healthy baby, not everyone gets this."

'I was supposed to be happy but I was sad because I'd lost one. I was happy some days and sad others. I couldn't be totally happy. After three months, though, I said to myself, 'Right, you've got to sort yourself out.''

She added: “I know people who have carried twins all the way and lost one during labour so I felt like I was being stupid dwelling on something that was nothing anyway. I had to close the door on it and think that it wasn’t a fully formed baby and people go through so much worse."

Chloe announced her pregnancy in May, posting an Instagram photo of her ultrasound and the reveal date of '05.22.19', which she captioned: 'Half me, half you'.
