  • Baby Loss Awareness Week

Baby Loss Awareness Week

Each year October is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month.

Particularly poignant is 9-15 October - Baby Loss Awareness Week. Throughout the week bereaved parents, their families and friends, unite with each other and others across the world to commemorate their babies’ lives.

In the UK, Baby Loss Awareness Week is a collaboration between more than 40 charities, including Kicks Count.

Now in its 18th year, Baby Loss Awareness Week calls to raise awareness about pregnancy and baby loss to drive for the improvements that are needed for parents and families now and in the future.

How can I be involved?

WEAR AN OFFICIAL PIN

Suppor the week by raising awareness with an official Baby Loss Awareness Week pin badge.

SHARE YOUR BREAK THE SILENCE STORY

As a charity dedicated to preventing stillbirth and neonatal death, we believe that conversation around baby loss is an important way to break the taboo, prevent it from happening to others and help parents grieving their baby be understood and supported. Help break the silence and tell your story, we'd be honoured to hear about and share your precious babies. Including a photograph of your baby is very much welcome.

Please note blogs need to be approved so will not appear immediately. You can view stories that have already been shared HERE.
